we all have different methods but I simply use an old 35 quart Thermos
cooler with the lid open and placed upside down over the female with a 2
liter soda bottle filled with water and then frozen. Place the frozen bottle
beneath the cooler being careful not to let the bottle touch the plant in
any way. The insulated cooler will keep the ice in the bottle from melting
too quickly.

Ask on this list if there are any growers in your area that could give you a
male in an emergency.

I use it double-strength (2 tbsp. per gallon), twice a week but thats just
me and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to others. At this strength you
must be careful not to get any on the leaves or they will burn. Also I have
no idea whether root damage could occur at this strength.
