Stupid Questions Advice Please

I know that these 2 questions are stupid to all experienced growers but to
me they are causing great worry as I am very proud of my little pumpkins
and want to grow them into big pumpkins.

Question one. How do you stop the vines from taking over next door's garden
as well as your own? The vines are all growing in an east to west direction
and are well on thier way to my neighbor's garden. Help I don't want to
kill the plants with any ill-advised actions.

Question two. When the pumpkins are as large as a soccer ball is it a good
idea to give them somerhing other than the soil to rest on? If so what?

A third idle query is does tomato food do well for pumkins? I use it on my
roses and hanging baskets and they like it. As it is lower in nitrogen than
other foods it seems to promote flowers rather than leaves. I do read with
great interest all the tips passed on through the group but most of the
names of fods and fungicides are different in my local seed merchants. I
would be grateful if anyone could take the time to give me names of actual
chemicals and appropriate dilutions.

Finally, I read with great interest the discussion on latitude. I appear to
be the most northerly at 53 degrees 34 minutes. I know that from my
husband's sat/nav that he uses for astronomy.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and any advice would be appreciated
by both me and my pumpkins.

Good Growing,

Jane
