   Pumpkin #2 and#3 are growing at a good rate. #1 is a little slow if it was 
going to be a really big one. The trick is to keep the 2 inch per day rate 
for a while and taper off slowly. Keep your present approach going. It is 
important to keep  consistent watering and fertilizing. You could slow down 
the pumpkin by withholding water, but who wants to do that. You are doing 
fine. Keep conditions optimum and the pumpkin will cruise in and taper down 
in growth rates naturally. When a pumpkin approaches maturity and slows down, 
big jolts of fertilizer will not speed anything up......just stress it and 
make it mature more quickly.
