Hey there PM, you forgot that there are no jokes allowed on here....and that
one was worse than mine! (i.e. false information). Now someone is going to
start whining to have you removed from the list. "PumpkinMaster, you have
crossed the line once too many times....".
Man oh man.....it IS sad, isn't it? Well....GOOD LUCK! Ha ha!
Anyway, now for the part of my post where I contribute to the conversation of
the list, with insightful, and on-topic material, which adds to the quality
of the content of the list. (Which I have always done more than I don't, by
the way)....
Pumpkin shape....I have heard that a LONG shaped fruit, as in watermelon
shape, was GOOD. Is this not true? Or are we talking about a different shape
when using the term "watermelon shaped" vs. "long". I had a 550 Cramer 96
growing last year that ended up having a pinwheel shape, wider than it was
long. It got to be about 200 pounds, and this was without burying the vines
or anything and with a split stem (3/4 the way through!). It kind of looked
neat, in a way though! How important is shape in determining the pumpkins
growth potential?
