Re: Squash bug life-cycle?

David,

Squash bugs are usually a dull grey to brownish black.....about 5/8 inch
long. They like to hide under leaves or boards ......their eggs are orange
to copper color on the underside of leaves. They can kill a squash plant
. Usually you'll see a leaf and stalk dead dried brown to black . They
suck the juices. They live one year hibernate over winter in debris, they
mate in the spring and lay eggs..........................squish them and
they give off a perfume..................mb
