RE: squash bugs
I'm putting several layers of tulle fabric around the stems of a few plants
to see if it works as a deterrent to borers - haven't seen any yet - but I

I have had more squash bugs than ever before......out here in Northern
Calif............its a major bitch as I am a organic farmer and the organic
pesticides are whimpy.................I hand picked and killed a half acre
of bugs under every plant................and the only difference is I
planted squash in the same area 2 years in a
row..............................MB
