By golly, you are one smart fellow. That is exactly the one on both plants
that is hurting the most. Nothing has burned yet, thanks to good advice.
We all are not setting fruit yet. It is still early. But today I did find my
first three female flowers. Unfortuntely all are at the end of the small
"non-main" vines that come out of the stump.
I told my wife that this was typical female behavior.
She was not amused.
I will have canned soup for dinner tonight.
Can you remember the race horse called Silky Sullivan? Used to win from way
behind the pack - way behind, like 20 lengths. There is your role model.
John in mild and sunny San Jose - 56 at night, 86 in the daytime.
