That's right. This is a hobby for the strong. The weak go by the wayside
(Pumpkins too). I would do what Chris said. Set many on one plant. You will
get Big Rewards.
When I have to cull a plant, I just snip off the vine rather than risk
uprooting and disturbing the roots of nearby plants.
It may feel bad now, but in August and September, watch out for those
monsters!
