New All Time Rainfall Record
A new all time rainfall record of 12.52 inches was set this June in
Rochester, Minnesota. The previous record was in July, 1978. At least I
did not have to water the pumpkin patch in June. :)
Ten of my twelve plants have shown females within the past week. Two of
my smallest plants (ranked in the bottom fourth using vine length and
leaf size as measurements) have the most females. Some of my most
vigorous plants have no or only one female. If I were to cull plants out
of my patch, I would have removed the two plants with the most females.
Just an observation.
