Help!!! Vine split!!!

I need advise. I have 4 AG plants that have now been transplanted into the
garden since May 5. Everything has been going very well and growth has been
great. My problem is I have been working a LOT of overtime and it has been
all I could do to just keep up with fertilizing and disease and bug control.
I have not had a chance to put up a wind screen yet. Last week we had a
thunderstorm with a lot of wind and I have now noticed that the stem where
it enters the ground has split on three of the plants. The splits range from
1 to 2 inches long. The wind got to them and twisted the plant. So far they
look very healthy. No wilting or discoloration has occurred at this time.
Will these plants come back form this and be OK??? Do I need to do anything
to the splits??? I hope someone can answer my questions.

Thanks a Lot!
