Hello Matt.  If the vine is still attached, secure it by putting dirt on it
etc. Do not cover the split and watch what happens. Mother nature is a
wonderful thing. I once had a plant that hadn't even fallen over yet and
start crawling and the wind got a hold of it and broke it 300 degrees
around. That year the plant produced a 500 pounder.
