Hello Group
I have to admit this forum is one of the most
informative ways of learning to grow pumpkins. Everyone is really great
about giving out information. I have three plants going at this time
and they are currently putting on fruit at quite an alarming rate in my
opinion. I have 10-12' main vines and starting 4 foot out I am getting a
female fruit every 1 1/2 to 2 feet! One main branch has 4 on it bringing
an average of 14 fruit per plant. I know I will have to cull most of them,
but which ones? I don't seem to have any aborts in the group so how many
should I bring to full term?
