RE: what am I doing wrong??
Deb,
I had the same problem with a few also but it was due to wind damage during
a thunderstorm. Apparently the vine twisted in the wind and split. I was
able to save one of 6 plants and it is now doing fine. I just covered up the
split portion with soil and kept it well watered. It took about two weeks
for the plant to get over the shock but now is growing wonderfully. I don't
know if this is what caused your problem but the fix may be the same.
