I had been answering the cloche questions on when I remove them. What I use is really not a cloche. It is a wall of storm windows (2nd stage first is one window over the top) in the shape of an octagon. In the top center is one large window to protect the center of the plant from Hail storms. I reduce the top openings with more windows if it is cold making a greenhouse. If the weather turns hot I can remove all top windows but I do not remove the Window Wall until the plant is big and secured to the ground well. This was a big help so far this season with 10 storms in the last 8 days. I never drive by a window on trash day.
