RE: Help me fast I need compost!

I live in Buffalo, and while I haven't found it thru the city recycling
program, I HAVE found it in more than one suburb, anywhere from free to
another suburb recycling facility charging $2 a garbage can full, to $12 per
pickup truck bedfull. Look under recycling in the Govt pages of the phone
book for cities/towns near you. As for quality, both seem to be rich & dark,
probably loaded with humic acids, enough fertility that I can grow other
vegetables in straight 100% compost without soil or fertilizers; the free
one I sift & find I lose about a third by getting rid of the larger matter
such as small twigs & wood, etc (I use a 1/4" screen so when done it looks
like black rice or smaller) and the compost I pay for seems much finer or
shredded better with less loss if I sift it, plus, if I'm paying for it, I'm
sifting it on their site & leaving with the best & finest stuff with ZERO
waste. But for volume you can't beat the pickup load. Now if I only had a
pickup instead of a Blazer... By the way, many places that sell topsoil sell
compost but it would cost a lot delivered, especially in small amounts such
as a few yards. Hope this helps.

Can someone tell me how to look up a bulk compost
seller in MD? I'm looking for mushroom soil or
something close. I will go off and try to look
myself but I think I failed last time.
