Re: Early blossoms

To get the plant stimulated into a growth stage, feed it a high nitrogen fertilizer.

How long did you grow the plants indoors before you planted them outside?.

What size pots were the plants in before you put them outside?

Subject: Early blossoms

Hi. I live in New Brunswick, Canada. This is my third year growing giant pumpkins. I have a problem, or at least I think it is a problem. My plants started to blossom, both male and female blossoms very early, ie. when the plants were still small and in their pots.I believe I started my seeds too early in the house, and they were in their pots for too long, which completely screwed up their cycle. They have been out in the ground for about 3 weeks now, and have grown very little, but continue to have blossoms. It is as though they have already passed by the growth stage and have moved on to the blossom stage (?????) Any suggestions?
