Hello Natalie Dykstra------I tend to agree with "LI Pumpkin" about your query. That LI stands for Long Island,NY.I grew up in NS and know locations quite well in NB too, although now we live just outside of Ottawa. This spring has been generally cool here, just as in your region, and my 5 AG plants are all a week or so behind average in development.Question--where do you live in NB? You may have a nearby top grower that I could refer you too?Comment--if you have any other questions during the season, feel free to ask me and I'll help if I can.Yours Sincerely--Al Eaton* ******************************************Hi. I live in New Brunswick, Canada. This is my third year growing giant pumpkins. I have a problem, or at least I think it is a problem. My plants started to blossom, both male and female blossoms very early, ie. when the plants were still small and in their pots.I believe I started my seeds too early in the house, and they were in their pots for too long, which completely screwed up their cycle. They have been out in the ground for about 3 weeks now, and have grown very little, but continue to have blossoms. It is as though they have already passed by the growth stage and have moved on to the blossom stage (?????) Any suggestions?
