Secure the shade cloth WELL you don't want it coming free and whipping
your plant for a week while you are not there. I use zip ties to secure
my shade cloth it works great but also push in the poles holding it
three feet into the soil. stronger is better.

Kathie replies: We're ba-a-ack! The frame did come apart at the north
end, but the shade cloth - and the 573 Stucker - were at the south end.
Terrible wind just after we left. A neighbor saw the damage and the
potential for more damage so she told Jerry, who called Ray Barenchi,
aka Jerry's father-in-law, and Ray drove last Sunday to the patch and
fixed everything. Got a big old blossom on the Stucker already.
Everything happens so fast.

last year?

Kathie: Whatta memory! The truck hood fell on ME, and my shin bears a
permanent blue mark about the diameter of a primary vine.

Kathie: Great trip. First day, meeting for me so David went cave
exploring. Second day, our fanatical guide/tournament bass angler took
us fishing from 6 am to 5 pm: bass to 5 pounds and a 17-inch trout, plus
some excellent fishing tips. Third day, we visited another cave for the
hour-long tour. Fantastic. Today is the end of day 3, and we're home.
The plants look good, considering.

Pirate: I am going on vacation to Georgia to visit my wife! Take care
and have A BLAST!!!

Kathie: Again, congratulations to Nikki on her graduation and good
wishes to you both! Who will tend your babies while you're gone?
Kathie
