Secure the shade cloth WELL you don't want it coming free and whipping your plant for a week while you are not there. I use zip ties to secure my shade cloth it works great but also push in the poles holding it three feet into the soil. stronger is better. Don't I remember you having a truck hood fall on a plant last year ??? were not in Kansas any more !!! Have fun on your vacation and we can chat when you get back I am going on vacation to Georgia to visit my wife !! Take care and have A BLAST !!!
