Little Patch of Horrors....

Geneva Electric, my Emmons 922 plant, grew clean out of my web cam again - only took a week.  The main vine is now over 3 feet long and grew 8 inches overnight.  Today is her 4 week birthday and she's so charged up that the hair raises on the back of your head if you get too close.

But... there's a bigger, more unbelievable story happening in my back patch;  Audrey (995 Carter) - the plant from another planet.  It's not from this solar system, maybe not even this galaxy - a mean green muther from outer space.  Don't ask my how it got here.

Audrey @ 4 weeks  - the mean green muther from outer space...

I knew something was strange when I cut my hand the other day and the vine ends started making these sucking sounds.  I should have known not to let it have some of my blood.....  It's now bigger than Geneva Electric and growing so fast you can just see it- slowly enveloping the patch.  Looking, no doubt, for another taste of human flesh.

The main vine was 4 feet 5 inches when I measured a half hour ago but I'm sure it's bigger than that now.  I've lost count on the leaves but the bigger ones are 22" across and still going.

This plant is 4 weeks old today and is really starting to scare me....  How many sadistic dentists is it going to take to get to the weigh off??? God only knows.

The real tragedy was that I had a 831 Zunino that was growing almost as well - planted as a backup, right next to Audrey.  This morning it was gone......  Oh! the horror....the horror.

This is really a brutal sport.

I'll adjust the field of view on GE's web cam tonight.  It can be found at:

If you see me out in the patch with a bat, I'm not playing baseball - I need it for protection.  Damn blood-sucking vines......
