Kathie, good luck this year... remember as the plant becomes more agressive
and starts to really grow, just stay away from the vines (regarding
weeding)... some weeds are going to grow up here and there, but the leaves
should shade them out.  Your primary concern will be the placement of the
pumpkin in relation to the vine and bug and fungus control (hopefully you
don't have the vine borer, like I do, but that's another story).

Remember to have 'fun' ..... this is a sport to enjoy.

Grow that 1000+lb'er
