Usually after the pumpkin has been pollinated by hand and then the pollen
grain makes it to the Ovules that makes it "fertilized" it takes a few days for
the pumpkin to start putting on weight and I have had pumpkins Abort over 70
lbs so when it is SET is somewhere around when it is Fertilized and at the last
point when you feel it will not abort !!! OK kinda confusing but hope this
helps a LITTLE !!!!
