Re: Seed Starting

  Bill
it is really simple as the Dicots (seed leaves) unroll they will leave a
SMALL first true leaf inside, as it develops you will be able to see within a few
hours that the first true leaf will have a FLAT side and a rounded side. The
FLAT side is the main center rib or vane the rounded side is the leaf folded
in half. NOW hold the plant up to your chest arrange it so that there is a
Dicot to your right and a dicot to your left and the FLAT part of the first true
leaf against your chest now look up and where ever you are looking is the
direction of the main vine. SO to make it simple the main vine 95% of the time goes
opposite the first true leaf. I have been able to get a plant in the ground
with 100% accuracy within two hours of the seed coat coming off BUT it usually
takes a day or two JUST TO MAKE SURE !!!
GOT IT !!! Take care and I hope you have a WONDERFUL 2003 Season !!!
