  Depending on the size of your plants it could be almost any critter....at 
seedling stage slugs,rabbitts, cucuber beetles (en mass), woodchucks, my kid 
with her hockey stick, deer, chipmonks,etc....as the plant gets bigger its gonna 
take bigger slugs,bigger rabbits,more cuccumber beetles, woodchucks,deer,my 
wife with the lawnmower....etc.......but I would guess a grazing animal if 
vining......G
