Top Ten

This top ten thing could end up causing a lot of hurt feelings and ill will.
Some states might have 20 excellent growers and some might have only 5. What
exactly are the criteria for being one of the top ten? Is it growing one of the
ten biggest pumpkins in your state or is it working hard to keep a grower
organization going? Is it being helpful to other growers even if you never had a
big one yourself? Don't get me wrong. I am not saying there should not be a
top ten list. I just have concerns about number 11 grower and especially when
the criteria for making the choice can never be that clear. I can't wait to see
Don's new book. It truly is the Harry Potter of pumpkin growers.
