Re: big leaves, long stems...

Last year I had two plants, Both plants were shaded when the plant was
growing and then I took the shade off after the leaves and vine were well
established. I had a small part of each plant that I didn't shade at all. And both
plants took up about 450-475 sq. ft. Both plants had 2-1/2 to 3 feet tall stems
threw-out the entire plant. But the major difference I noticed between the shaded
part of the plant and non shaded part is the leaves that were shaded were
much bigger. I had a leaf that was 32" across. and several that were 30" across
on both plants. The part that didn't get shaded was only 20"-25" across.
