RE: Calcium Application

Rick,
This is the first year I'm using Ca 12%. I follow the label which says
1-2 tbs. / gal. I apply it twice a month. Also it mentioned NOT to apply
on young plants (7 leaves). Who manufactures the Ca 12%, might make a
difference. The one I use is Fertall.
I was told that you cannot mix soluble calcium with soluble phosphorus
or the two will combine to form a solid which will be unusable by the
plant. Hope this helps.

Subject: Calcium Application

I will be using liquid calcium for the first time this year - (Ca 12%).
What is the best application rate for foliar feeding and soil drench?
Based on the complicated label, my guess is about 3 ounces Ca per gallon
of water, but I'd like to get confirmation from growers experienced in
using it.  Thanks!
