Hi Tad,
Pumpkins will mature faster in warmer climates but you are
running a bit late if you want to harvest a few weeks before
Halloween.
You might try planting your seeds in 4" peat pots TODAY and
keep the soil temperature at 85-90. Hopefully, by this weekend
most will have germinated. If you plant seeds this weekend it
will be much longer before they germinate and get going....
