Re: blossoms
List,
Thanks to you who replied. Here's what apparently happened:
She has a deformed petal, This left, when she swelled with anticipation, a
peekhole large enough for a small bee to slip through. But she remained
technically a virgin until this morning, when she opened to reveal a
deformed ovary, or whatsitcalled. A broken crown.
We pollinated her anyway, with three panting males from the 417 D Morgan.
She's on the main, in a perfect spot, but she's three days early and she has
a little sister just a bit farther down the main.
