Plant Size/Flowers

I have a question about plant size and growth of flowers on it.

The plant in question has a main vine that is about 4 feet, and maybe one
secondary vine that is about a foot long.  It looks like I am already
getting flowers forming on the plant.  What should I do?  I know that the
plant is not big enough to support a large pumpkin.

Can I pench the flowers off until the plant is bigger?
