Derek: most likely what you are seeing are the male flowers, they always come first, the females will be along a little later, they are the ones with the small pumpkin attached to the bottom of them, i usually wait until the plant is at least ten feet long before setting a female on it.

It looks like I am already getting flowers forming on the plant. What should I do? I know that the plant is not big enough to support a large pumpkin.
