Hello,
This is my first time to attempt growing a giant pumpkin. I started with a
pack of seeds called Atlantic Giants. I know these seeds are not "pedigreed,"
but I thought it would be an inexpensive way to get started. When I planted
my seedling on April 20 I had about 3-4 very nice leaves developed. We dug a
really big hole, back filled with dirt and compost. I've kept it watered, but
I don't think over watered. The plant has not sent out any vines at all, but
has two blooms. The blooms seem healthy, but I know this can't be normal.
Any suggestions on what may have happened, or are my packaged seeds just
trash.
Thanks,
Cathy Ridgdill
