This Years Pumpkin Plants

On May 11, 2009, the following eight pumpkin plants were planted in the
patch:
1) 1568 (Dmg) Connolly 08 --- 1566 Rodonis 07 x 1689 Jutras 07
2) 1462 Holland 08 --- 1092 Martin 06 x 998.6 Pukos 05
3) 1190 Holland 08 --- 998.6 Pukos 05 x 1041.5 McKie 06
4) 919 Rockwell 08 --- 1502 Wallace 06 x 1402.5 Bobier 07
5) 1013.5 Heyne 08 --- 843 Heyne 05 x 1204 Daletas 07
6) 1009 Heyne 08 --- 1126 (Est) Heyne 07 x 1384 Holland 07
7) 843 Heyne 05 --- 1420.5 LaRue 04 x 1446 Eaton 04
8) 804 Heyne 06 --- 1129 Holland 05 x 843 Heyne 05
The 998.6 Pukos and the 843 Heyne have the same genetics. There are four of us
in this area (Dave Bhaskaran is one) who are growing the 1568 Connolly. There
is going to be some friendly competition this summer in the Rochester area.
The plants are still under row covers (remay) as they protect the plants from
bugs, wind, small animals, and temperature until they outgrow their cover by
the end of the first week of June.
