I posted this last year but it is worth another post.
I do not grow Giant Pumpkins anymore but I do grow Pumpkins & Squash. My
most important crop of this is my large crop of Pumpkinheads, (Molded
Pumpkins). Last year not ever being pleased with any chemical control
because
if you miss one little spot they seem to find it. Also this is my regular
garden & will not use unlisted systemic controls. I am not pure Organic but
use any product that really works, there have been many over the years
that do not live up not their claims. I had been waiting many years for a
SVB
trap that really works & is cost effective. Last year I put up 2 traps
for a 3000 Sq Ft area. I realized an 85 to 90% control, & the traps had
lots
of SVB's dead in them. This year I'm increasing to 4 because of the
relatively low cost. The traps are approximately $15 but last for many
seasons,
they are called UNIVERSAL MOTH TRAPS. They are a yellow & white bucket
shaped trap that you hang on a hook. The Lures are around 4 or 5 dollars
each
& last for a month. I purchase them from Great Lakes IPM

, the online catalog is not the best so I would call them with your
questions.

sure....that has proven to be effective.
