Debbie,
The plants grow straight up for several weeks before they start to lay down.
Mine are in that process right now. They are starting to bend over and vine.
Your plants are going through the normal growth pattern. Give them another
week and I bet the main vines start to lay down. Do not try and force the
vines down as the vines could easily snap.

Subject: plants not laying down
I transplanted my plants about 1.5 weeks ago and they are not laying down.
I have been using bamboo sticks but it is not working. They continue to
stand at attention. Yesterday I added a second set of bamboo sticks closer
to the leaves, along with some more soil under the leaves and stem. My
hope is that the leaf nodes will start to root.
Any suggestions?
Debbie
