Of course Sevin or Diazanon works great but here is one more thought in
lieu of Spray or in addition to spraying, if you see cukes, squash bugs
etc. in your patch. 

And yes some of you may think I am nuts.

Get out your good old trusty Dust Buster, make sure the Bats. are charged,
start out with the crack and crevice tool, works the best!
Then head out into your patch and just suck them up as you see them!
