Doug I would sand lightly just until you see a color change and go
around the seed. I would avoid the tip. Soak 8-12 hours. I would put
them in wet toweling, slipped in a sealed baggy and kepy 80-85 degrees
for 48 hours until sprouted and then into 4 inch pots with potting soil
plant in the garden in a week. If you go directly into the garden you
will not know whether the seeds are growing for a good deal of time,
which is time wasted at this stage. Just keep the potting soil moist not
wet. If they are kept in a moist enviroment you will not have to water
at all until you go into your patch. I am almost a rookie at this and
killed my entire first line this year from over-watering. You talkin to
