Re: Vine redirection


I have a plant with the same problem. I've just mounded the soil under the
vine to support it, until it makes it's way down. Also, I've read on this
list to make a support
with two sticks over the vine with a support under the vine, (such as a
piece of panty hose, your preference), to help ease it down. So as not to
put to much stress on the vine. The vine I'm working with is about 24 inches
long. It is from an Al Eaton 664.
The sun is finally here in Portland OR. The plants are slow growing at this
time, but if the weather continues this way. I'm sure I'll have more pumpkin
plant to contend with than I know what to do with.
