I have noticed in reading the posts here in the past few days that a few
growers are writing about having female flowers but have not seen any male
flowers yet. It has been my experience in the past that males flowers were
always on the vines first. and the females show up a week or 2 later further
out on the vines. But I do understand and have had males come and go with out
females flowers ready. Then when the females are ready and open , no fresh
males ready to go do the job. Hmmmm? This situation has happened in my patch
early in the season. Later in the season.. it seems there are 10 boys for
every girl. At the moment we are no where's near any flower stage. Longest
main vines are 3-4 ft.
Sure enjoy reading this list and other grower's progress.

There have been AG's that have never produced a male flower. In that case you
need to look for another Pumpkin Grower willing to share males.
