Is it the current air temp that is important or the current soil temp???  Just
because the air temp dropped down from 80 to 65 for a week or two, the soil
temp would not lower as drastically.  The soil is more like a potato, you take
it out of the oven and wait 1/2 an hour and you still burn the heck out of
your mouth.  But anyways, I feel that the soil temp is more critical for plant
growth than air.
