Taskemdoc had a good observation the cooler weather has definetly seem to
affect the vines as they are all reaching for the sun.....
This year i decided to wait longer on the vine selection and let the vine
get to 4 ft to tell who was really shinning..........well the out come
seem to prove the point that early growth patterns are hard to tell what
the plants will do two of my slowest plants (but good backgrounds seem to
be losing out big time.........but they were thick vined and slow now they
seem to be catching the fastest growing .....if i hadn't waited i surely
would have sent them down the road......are they slow because they are
programed for root development then vine growth....................also it
seems that certain genetics produce ground huggers and others huge tall
leaves............................... well in my windy area the ground
huggers seem better suited......the tall crash leaves right and
left......just some thoughts....brock
