Dean,
If these bugs aren't eating the foliage you may have to do
nothing......sometimes you can make a powdered sevin circle around the
plants till there are bigger....it only works if the insects don't
fly....Gophers can be a problem with your plant......i have had them chew
right through a main vine and eat holes in the undersides of pumpkins...so
you may plan on some mesh underneath covered over with sand as a bed for
your monster....good luck
