As of my last update Brock had sent a number of seeds, via my request.
The seeds arrived on Saturday around 2:00 CST. By 2:30 four seeds were
in my artificial growth chamber soaking in 85 degree water. The inside
air temp.
was 85.5 degrees. The soaking seeds were shielded from light. They
soaked for
12 hours and were then placed between damp paper towels, (yes at 2:30
AM)
sealed in a zip lock bag and placed in a small box to block all light
and placed in
the chamber. Around noon Sunday I open the bag and inspected the seeds.
All
four has sprouted the main root; the longest about 1 inch. All were then
planted
in 6 inch plastic pots and placed in the light, in the chamber. By
Tuesday morning
all had broken the soil surface, where I manually removed the seed
shell.
Wednesday evening the seedlings were moved to a freshly re-tiled garden
and the
patch covered with black weed control cloth.
The seeds chosen were 689brock.
We are on our way!
Greg
