Pumpkin Flower: Yes i am using sevin, very effective against cucunber
beetles but i find it's less effective on squash bugs.
While the plants are still somewhat small (8' vines) i find it's easy
just to pick the squash bugs off by hand and dump them into a bucket of
water, they wont climb out like the c.c. beetles will.

Glenn,
Lay a piece of plywood down next to the plant. A 3 by 3 piece is big
enough. In the morning flip it up and they will all be under there hiding.
Asana is better at killing the bugs , but it will also kill your wallet.
Permit may be required.
