Folks - Because my patch is about 1,000 sq ft I will only be growing out
one plant. However, I was planning on keeping several others *very* small
(~ 25 sq ft each) as pollenation stock. Does anyone know if the roots of
the small plants will continue to grow and interfere with the main one? I
know what the patch will look like above ground, but I don't want to
sabotage the growing conditions sub-surface.
Intuition says a plant will only develop as much root structure as it needs
or can use, but I've never dug up a heavily pruned plant.
