Three more females bloomed this morning and I think I did a better job
of it. Unfortunately we are in for a heat spell this week although today
is just in the mid 80s. Castellucci plants, with both main plants
looking almost identical, 682.4 and a 733. 19-20 main vines and 24
across secondary. My backup, 743.2 is still there but I had to chop
about a third of it off to make room for the main vine of the 733.
Female bloomed on it this morning. I can keep it still for a little
while longer. Have not seen the two females that bloomed on Sunday drop
yet. Still have my fingers crossed. Fruit set ain't easy down here. I am
glad to have 3-4 weeks to work on it. Blooms on the 733 look very large
and well formed for the pumpkinhead who was asking about that plant.
Weather has been interesting, rain in the evenings and sun during the
day. Season has been great so far. So was the X-File Movie. Good to have
you back Duncan. I can still taste that Root Beer!
