Mike, i have 8 plants and it spreads your time too thin....the best plan is
to plant eight and then choose 4 or less to give your attention
to,,,,,,,,,,but i have a hard time letting go because you can't tell early
on which will do which and your slow one becomes your fast one.....and that
average plant pops a big pumpkin that won't quit..... its always a guessing
game.....i was just thinking today that maybe you find a goodlooking plant
with great genetics and you let that plant get huge 2000+sqft take primo
care of it and then set 3 to four pumpkins is just as good as 4 different
plants..but alot less work.....many growers are popping two monsters on one
plant ...Emmons is a prime example with i believe 4 pumpkins reaching over
700.............but I think you want to have a good number to whittle down
to a few.........brock
