First i really don't know anything for fact...( now thats stated)..........but
have had a great deal of flat vine. From my observations it seems
genetic..............Ithink that it happens when the cross is closely related.
That my humble hunch...........................there are other
theories...............but don't agree with them........................I know
exactly what you mean from an observation point there is more of a mass of a
plant. which in the early stages seems to benefit from the extra leaves and
grow better. I tried growing out a flat vine but lost the specimen to a wild
fire...........since then have avoided that predicament......................and
pulled the plant after it was very severe. I don't think enough data is
in.......... to be known of the spectrum of possibilites...........and unless
you have the time and room to test out for another
example...................its not the perfect example of an AG................MB
