George J-
Fellow Illinoian, your plants seem to be exceeding mine.
Unfortunately, I got into the game late and got my seeds from one of the
catalogue companies. I'll have to go with genetics next year. However I do
have to good looking plants in the ground currently. The largest one has a
vine about a foot long with the largest leaf about 18 inches in diameter.
The smaller plant has a vine of about 8 inches with the largest leaf 16
inches in diameter. The color on both is a lighter green so last night I
added some miracle grow. I live in Elmhurst, so I am not that faraway. Let
me know of your continued progress, this is my first year and I have plenty
to learn. Thanks. Steve M.

Since most states report in, I would like to compare note's with fellow
Illinoian's.
My 810 McInnis is now 7FT long with the Largest leaf 16" in Dia. A female
flower
is now at the tip. My 940 Mombert is 6FT long. The largest leaf is 21"dia.
A female flower is at its tip. NO INSECTS FOUND AT THIS TIME. These are my
best plants yet. Anyone growing these plants? Rich how are you doing?
