S.E. Mass Update
Hello Everyone
My three chosen plants are all doing very well. They are all similar in size,
but have distinguishing The weather has been very favorable to pumpkin
growing here in Massachusetts. Bright sunshine for most of the last two weeks
with above average temperatures.
Site # 1 845 Skrypczack
This plant is probably the longest of the three with a main vine pushing six
feet. By tomorrow it will be out the door of it's cloche.
Site # 2 859 Dalton
This plant is a real beauty. A tall plant with very large leaves. Slightly
less main vine length is more than compensated for by it's secondaries that
are about two feet long.
Site # 3 720 Hester
My favorite plant at this time. Not quite as long as either of the other two,
but has the stoutest stem, and leaves and tendrils coming out of everywhere.
Largest leaves of any of the three plants. A real rebel. Growing towards the
East instead of South.
